Cultural Exploration refers to the process of perceiving and understanding of human culture. This exploration highlights the importance of traditional culture via mimicking the steps of cultural celebrities’ legacy or taking part in the local cultural activities.

Sunway University Chinese Cultural Exploration (SUCCE) is organized not only to promote Chinese culture in a diversified way but also to appreciate the nature of Malaysian Chinese culture and arts. Besides, the Cultural Detective Event, which is the highlight of our event, features Chinese cultural themes as well as the elements of popular films and games. The detective game was organized to impart knowledge of the local art craft in an interactive way to the community in order to help the local art craft be passed down. This allows participants to develop a better understanding of cultural knowledge and to enhance problem solving skills.

The purpose of organizing this event is to promote Chinese cultures such as traditional arts and crafts through participatory activities. Breaking the impression of “Chinese traditional cultures are boring” among teenagers. Allows teenagers to understand the culture and not to forget their roots. We are doing our best to prevent these Chinese cultures from disappearing.

Finally, SUCCS would like to emphasize on the importance of appreciating, protecting, and inheriting Chinese culture. To benefit the future generations, we must unite and work together to preserve the diversity of Chinese culture in Malaysia.
